My sense of the Tad's hit is probably relative . . .

 

. . . to the Denali cues I was using then with mainly oak and purpleheart shafts.  Here's my main player at the time, a solid rosewood forearm handle with purpleheart and oak shafts, compressed Triangle medium tips, Micarta ferrules, and elk antler joints, rings, and butt cap.   







Bobby allowed Jim and myself to play several racks with his Tad; we both felt it was plush in comparison to our Denalis with oak or purpleheart shafts.  I've retired that particular cue but can bring it to a pool hall for a side-by-side comparison.  Tips and ferrules are original, only the finish was restored a few weeks ago.
