. . . aka Rovermark passed away a week ago. He was an active member of this community for several years, although not so much in the recent past. He was, however, a regular attendee of our So Cal alphabet soup gang gatherings, and his interest in horology...

I never knew him but if we can ever hope to achieve a measure of immortality, it is through the words and memories of those who knew us. It sounds like he was a wonderful person. Taken too soon. Sad day!

+1 RIP Rovermark (nt)

I had the good fortune to meet him about 9 or so years ago while visiting LA. He was extremely amicable to the point of even giving AndrewD and I a ride back to our hotel in his very cool vintage Land Rover. Condolences to all who knew and were near and d...

My deepest condolences to his family...

RIP Mark! Stefan

I believe you met Mark when you visited us a few years ago. Mark missed only one alphabet soup g-t-g . . .

. . . over the last ten years - he was a stalwart member of our group. Hope all's well with you, Stefan. Warmest, Art

Yes I did meet him ...

A true collector & man of wildly divergent interests

 By: cazalea : September 17th, 2019-16:17
Mark and I hit it off at our first meeting. He was fortunate to have earned a fair chunk of money and had enough time to indulge his interests. If I remember correctly he didn't drink alcohol or eat meat, so didn't dive into the richest ends of the culina...

RIP Mark

this is heartbreaking news. It was obviously way too early.

He was a few days shy of marking his 53rd birthday . . .

 By: Dr No : September 19th, 2019-16:15
. . . when he passed, Christian. 'Early' is an understatement . . . he should've had years, if not decades, more to enjoy. Art

That is overwhelmingly sad, Art

And I even understand from Mikes post that he was a person who tried to live a healthy life. I feel so sorry for dear Mark. Christian

Very sad to hear the news.

He was true gentleman and a patron of the horological arts. May his soul rest in peace and we celebrate his life everyday here on the site talking about what he loved dearly. Bill

RIP Mark 🙏🏻 [nt]

Mark will be sadly missed by us, taken by this cruel disease that has no respect for anyone. Thankfully Art you went to see him before he left us, I’m sure that this will have been of great comfort to him to know that you and others cared. I have personal...

.... Mark was a beautiful and generous soul. He always brought the salty language factor and we loved him for it. A super great guy who will be missed. Tonight we raise our glasses to RoverMark. - Scott
