One of the most iconic designs and being the prototype was a good reason to fetch a crazy price , but nevertheless 8.5 million is pretty crazy

I know this has nothing to do with watches but if there is one thing they do have in common….
Both bags and watches offer a mix of emotional, cultural, and financial value but watches tend to appeal more to logic and engineering-minded collectors, while bags draw in those who value narrative, fashion history, and visual impact. In both cases, the rarest and most storied items—the prototype Birkin or Paul Newman’s Daytona—become more than luxury goods. They become icons.
