Seiko

The watch that I have been waiting for four years has finally arrived. By the time it was launched, I was only able to admire it from afar and I have been patiently waiting for this day to come :). Here are a few photos of my SBGW033. ...

While waiting, I actually bought a few other Grand Seiko's. The SBGM027 has long gone because it is too shiny for me. The SBGR061 is still with me because I just love its simplicity and I think that's also the reason why I still love the SBGW033 after tho...  

I own the poor man's one ...  

Hi That was the first JDM Seiko I was really aware. Unfortunately I missed the boat on that - but have got a different JDM. Cheers JML

What a lovely watch! I'm not a big fan of the block SEIKO logo and this Grand Seiko in embossed script is far, far nicer. Great case, hands (that blued second hand is yummy!) applied indicators, etc - and there isn't any pesky date aperture - fabulous! On... 

that's why the script is how it is - from the old watch and you are right, the back is quite solid and highly polished Cazalea ...  

Aha! Thanks; in that case it's understandable. Please pardon my ignorance...I don't know their back catalogue at all. Of course I'd prefer it without that dial text, but its presence here is fair enough. There does seem to be an honesty to Grand Seiko whi...

A WIS fellow once made a comment, "Grand Seiko is a slow burner" and I totally agree with him now. I collected different brands but I always have a soft spot for Seiko :)

I am happy for you as it seems you achieved your goal to capture one. Bravo.

Congratulations, and like the others said, you really are a patient man..and that patience is well worth it!

. . . to another (a Zenith El Primero) just prior to its release in '11. Two years later, when GS introduced another perfect model, I was able to reverse the train of events, in no small part due to a fellow Purist whose acquisition of my El Primero made ...  

I have had the chance to see, touch and feel the 44GS. I can assure that it is mesmerizing!

you did not let the re-edition version go for no reason. Nothing beats the original!
