Once again, a fabulous report, and this time on my favourite classification so far. After seeing this report, and seeing the SBGW033, I immediately went looking to see if there were any for sale in the Collectors forum, and on the major websites. Alas no.... 

With many very nice pictures of various GS! I love those with blued hands, esp the blued seconds hands. Thank you for your report. I enjoyed the eye candies very much :) Cheers Robin

as far as I can tell, the numerals are embossed. This is not in any sense to denigrate them, as in many other cases whatever solution Seiko chooses for their high-end watches will be executed with convincing precision. Another example would be the "guillo...

is most unusual one and something that I was not expecting somebody would think off but you are a "Razor" of PPro so I should have known better :) Yes great analogy dear Art and another surprise for me is that someone from States knows and appreciates Fly...

i love Grand Seiko's from the earliest to the modern models. i only wish i could invest more funds into them as i consider them as equal in quality to Omega, Rolex and far better than many Swiss brands. they just ooze quality and accuracy. best Graham

Hi Sham1, You are right, they are masterpieces. If you do want to get a GS, try a WTB (want to buy) advert in the Collector\'s Mart section of this website. I\'m not sure of the dealer situation in the UK but there are several Japanese dealers that supply... 

Thanks for the excellent post. It got me intrigued and I am considering my first GS. Is there a difference in the dial between the SBGW001 and SBGW031? And have you tried putting a leather strap on the SBGW035? Thanks. ian

Hi Ian, I've noticed Seiko dials are very subtle, and there do seem to be minor differences in the dials from model to model. To my eyes. Other people say they don't see a difference. It might be production variation, or aging of a single watch. I think t...  

Yes, I am considering the SBGW035. I think it's an updated version of SBGW005. I don't quite fancy the look of the bracelet and I think the watch would be very nice on a brown or navy blue leather strap. I was wondering if you have a pic of your SBGW005 o...
