Rolex

As probably some of you knows, I'm not a lover of modern Rolex. Basically for the shape of the case, for the SLuminova dial... I'm not even a huge fan of the polished band. BUT ...in this days I'm thinking hard about the only "in production" Rolex that f...  

I got mine full set, box, grass and " papers " from a Jamaican AD. ;) Seriously, I am exactly in the same situation than you, about the 1019. A watch I MUST have, and that I will have, one of the ( many ) missing links in my Rolex Collection. But the Mode...  

I have the GV. At first, I was exactly the same. The depth of the watch seemed wrong. The lugs were just too prominent. I loved the dial and the nature of the watch but some of its aesthetics we're "awkward". So, I put it on a green NATO and TaDa! It work... 

...I don't like too much the thick case on NATO strap, but i can try. doubt: GV or not. that's not healty.

...on the simple black version is the 5 minutes scale, i really like it! why not on the black oneee!?! Argh! I have to do a ride with this watches, could it be loooooooved and be loooved!

but honestly I would prefer the modern GV over the 1019! The vintage Mil 1019 is a watch I have tried on several times and I always want to love it, as it looks great in pics, but on the wrist always looks flat to me! The modern version is lovely. Now the...

...then you should get it....That's what I tell myself when I need convincing :) Isn't the GV more loved because it was harder to get when the Milgauss re-edition first came out? Now it's easy to get any of the versions....so to me, the GV has lost some a...

The size is perfect for everyday wear and it is definitely not too big. It is not as dainty as its predecessor in terms of size but not as big as the newer submariners. 40mm is a darn good size if you ask me. Two words: GET IT!
