Well, I thought that 1967 was the switch point, to say all.
So, you tend to confirm what I thought I knew.
But, as you said, no easy answer, as I saw some which came in 68.
And I have some doubts....
As often, when it comes to Rollex Vintage, there are many more exceptions than rules...
Let's see what the others think.

One question for you: On the Rolex 1675, what is the year where Rolex changed the small arrow on the 24 hours hand for the big one? The small arrow: The big arrow: Did some 1675 big arrow come with the gilt dial? I gathered some controversial informations...

Nicolas, I have a 1966 1675 gilt dial with big GMT hand which I feel is original due to the very matching patina. But the cut off point for the switch will be difficult to determine! Best, Anatol...

Did you try Veroplastica resource?
Hi Nicolas, I've been told that most of the GMT had a large arrow hand from 66-67. Did you try to find more details on the Veroplastica resource? Best,

I have in my records...
...a couple of 1966 GMT's with small arrows that look original. We must be close to the transition here... My personal thumb rule would be to associate a small arrow GMT hand with a gilt dial. More or less ;-) Cheers Jeff

I would not like a 1675 with a gilt dial (pre 1967) and a big GMT hand. It makes pretty much sense to me that Rolex changed the style of the arrow hand when they changed the style of dial. Just my 0.02 cts....and most of the time it is very hard to determ...

If there is one certain thing, it is that the Big GMT hand came on all matt dials with white letterings. Damn, you have 2 GMTs??? You're worst than me, my friend. Nicolas
From my understanding and my experience...
All the "corninos" (the first 1675) had glossy dial, small arrow hand and 1560 movement (circa 1959). From 1962 till mid 66 the "standard" case replaces the "cornino" one but keeping the glossy dial and small hand. From mid 66 the new 1570 movement replac...
That makes pretty much sense...

In fact there are 1,1M corninos, they were produced from the end of 1959 till beginnig of 1962 aprox which means that you can find it between 0,5 up to 1,2 more or less. Maybe I explained myself wrong in my previous post. Best T

I think ser# tells us when it was produced, i never saw square crown guards before ser. 1.1Mln. Do you think thhey produced that all before 1960? I don't think so... or did you work in Rolex those years???
