Two cousins: 5508 and 6542 BOTH Exclamation Dot.
All is in the title, but it is much more interesting than a simple announce.
First of all, if I saw several exclamation dot dials on 5508, I much rarely saw this detail on a 6542 from '58. ( All in all, I may have seen 3 or 4 maximum, and a few others from '56 or '57 )
Then, the serial number, with a difference of only 1500 between these 2.
.... Which suggests that they both are from the same era, which is the case ( III / 1958 ).
And the cherry on the cake is that is a watch which will go to a friendly house.

No, to answer to some of you who are wondering if the exclamation dot can be considered as a good thema for a collection, it didn't cross my mad mind.

My theory was twofold
One theory is that the watch was built and sold between the period 1960-1963 so the watch was born that way. This could mean the watch got chrono papers from 1958/59 but the watch was not yet assembled and was assembled and sold later. So I guess a sales ...
