The bronze is piece is merely a Instagram diver, and not a real diver. Rolex/Tudor knows this, but doesn't care. Hubris runs deep with this watch/company (beware the rotting bezel!)
Anyone attending a 10th grade chemistry class can tell you the perils of putting an aluminum bezel insert, against a bronze case. Rolex and Tudor must not have had anyone that passed the 10th grade on the design team, or their complete lack of apathy notwithstanding, did it anyway. Thus, anyone like me that actually used the watch for its intended purpose (i.e. diving) quickly found out the bezel started rotting away in short order once an open water dive in the ocean was undertaken.
It become quite a topic of conversation here, and on other forums, where examples of bezels that had entirely rotten through, started showing up. Tudor replaced my bezel twice, albeit fairly quickly, but not so much as an apology or even a hat, keychain or pad of paper to admit that they'd designed and sold a watch that you couldn't actually use.
To make matters worse, much worse, they just buried their heads in the collective sand and continue to churn out successive versions of this watch with this fatal flaw.
So yes, while the bronze Tudor black bay 'diver' is an attractive watch, it's not a diver. You may have well strap on your favorite ultra-slim dress watch to go diving in next time. Those aren't suited for diving, but then again, neither is the Tudor; at least the manufacturers of said dress watches admit they're not for diving, while Tudor is only making this watch for 'Instagram divers' that never step foot in a body of watch.

Both bronze and silver case will develop patina. Not the same size, too, as you well know, and definitely not the same character. Between these 2, I would go for the Silver. Because of the size and the density of the silver.
