I guess our countries share many insecurity issues 😔
By the contrary, our US or European friends show more confidence while wearing their watches, even though in some mayor cities they start to live dangerous situations with thieves, burglaries and so.
You’re right, I’m hiding my more valuable watches almost always, unless I’m home or in a familiar or secure environment. And that’s in part one of the many reasons I prefer to wear vintage watches, even if sometimes they’re worth more than modern watches. Unless it is a very recognizable gold vintage watch or a steel submariner, almost no one knows about vintage watches, even if some thieves start to show some degree of knowledge.
As with anything in life, there are risks involved in every hobby, be it watch collecting, scuba diving, spelunking, mountaineering, car racing, etc. And we must learn to deal with it, and enjoy life!
Thanks for your comment.
