Rolex

Thanks but...

I much prefer this watch to a wg Daytona.

There are TONS of chronos much much better than the Daytona, from the high end brands. Yet the Sub is and will remain the King of classic divers, at least of divers on metal bands.

If you don't mind scratches (i don't), gold makes sense for a diver, as the resistance to corrosion from salt water is far better than that of steel.

It makes the watch a genuine tool, as well as unpretentiously elegant for the Summer. A Rolex is as hard as a mechanical watch can be, anyway, and with this touch of difference given by the weight and the blue, you get the maximum versatilty plus those special colors.

And you don't see it everyday on everyone else's wrist!

Yesterday in a small airplane i spotted 4 steel Submariners in 10 seconds, by the time i reached the toilets...

The SS Sub is a victim of its own success!
