This is not the most versatile watch and I also think that among rolex loves is a bit too much. The day-date II by
itself was not sufficiently loved I think..else Rolex would have not replaced it with the 40mm. Thanks for your kind

Hello Jeff, I agree that the overall balance is indeed different - I think it has to do with the case construction that is somehow slimmer too so it is not really about the 1mm but as you suggest a number of improvements (including the movement of course)...

That's a heck of a watch you have there! Absolutely stunning. I agree that it's not the most discrete watch, but, sometimes, it's fun to cast discretion aside and opt for a bit of tasteful opulence. All good fun, no? Regards
