Some interesting recent acquisitions...

Hi all,

Recently, I've been learning more about vintage sport rolexes and have purchased a few nice examples.   However, what started it was a desire to get a 'sort of vintage' 16550 cream dial explorer 2.   Suffice it to say, I've been distracted and had gone down the gilt direction until I saw a fantastic example of a 5512 4 line matte dial that I couldn't resist...  And then, as luck would have it... a 16550 came along... while it is not so creamy, there was one consolation --- it was signed by Tiffany & Co.    Please enjoy along with a couple of other favorites.   Many thanks to T, A, P, K, J, & co...

A wide but excellent selection of vintage pieces. Do you have a favourite?

My favorite is the 5508 but the close 2nd would be the explorer 2 prototype. I have a coupl of other vintage pieces that wld be right up there too. My 5513/1675 gilt dials are awesome. Thx. OpC

The explorere 2 is a prototype dial. It is well documented in a couple of rolex books. Best,OpC
