SAS GMT. So hard to find watches like these today.
Jan 14, 2023,14:42 PM
This lovely 100% original full set 1675 was purchased from the original owners widow a long time ago. It was so exciting to find out that her Husband had been a soldier in the British forces. With his name engraved on the case back it soon became apparent that he was in the Special forces and none other that the British SAS. The watch as you can see from its beautifully faded original bezel and patina on the dial spent most of its time in hot climates and occasionally returned to its home not far from Hereford. The home of the British SAS. The papers also very unusually stamped in an airbase abroad mentioned the 22 regiment. Bought by the owner in the late 60’s not an issued watch but it has definitely seen many things and been on many adventures. If only our watches could talk. Probably a good job they can’t with watches like this. see his name engraved on the case back.

So much more interesting and fun owning a second hand watch which has stories and history than a new one. M.

Also the dealer couldn’t confirm its authenticity, however when I inquired here on the forum, a lurking member who is a close friend to EC and knows his collection, showed quite serious proof of authenticity, but by that time the watch was sold... As for ...
