Rumor/ legend has it that there are fewer than 1000 units produced as it was the transition between the 1030 movement and the 15xx.

Ohhhh, i love it!
Along with the 5508 it represents the end of an era for Rolex Submariners. The 5512 with the new 40mm cases, crown protection and new bezels were already in production. And the same new movements.... Share more pictures of it pleasa!
The crystal is a tropic 17. Original NoS is hard to come by.
