... as well.
I have been wearing my 14060m in daily office work, vacationing at seaside and in sport scuba diving which was the purpose it was made for. A superb reliable and tough watch as all Submariners. Having perforated lugs is a plus for an easy changing of bracelets or straps.
Regarding the long F: you know we collectors always like to find something different in details of our watches. The long F was used in a short run of dials making for a little delicious detail to have but not an important thing for me when looking for a 14060m. I will always prioritize the condition of the watch above all other things.
If you search our site you´ll find some posts made in the past explaining in more detail about the long F on these dials. Write: long f submariner 14060m and several posts will appear.
I would suggest this one for starts: www.watchprosite.com
The long F was used only in a short run in 2007 only when the dial changed from the original two liner to the four liner COSC version, which makes for a rare variant of dial indeed. You got one of them.
The Explorer 2 is a very interesting watch in any of its references. I´m very fond of them too and choosing between an Explorer or a Sub is just a matter of personal taste. But if you intend to use your watch in water or diving the Submariner is the best choice to have on the wrist.
I wish you´ll keep loving and enjoying your beautiful watches! Best, Abel

I rarely do searches about my 2 Rolex watches. I was glad that searching last night revealed that my 16570 has caught up with the Rolex community. I had this 16570 white face since it was new in the early 1990s(1991 I believe) and I have always regarded i...

Cool one. Welcome here!

Welcome to the community. Your Rolex looks very good especially with the full set. In my opinion the LGF thing got rather overhyped but that doesn’t in anyway detract from the fact that your classic Sub looks great.

Thanks Cpt Scarlet.

That’s what I figured searching for more info re: LGF. But it’s a good talking point if ever. It’s a lovely watch and I like the fact that it’s considered to be a classic now. It’s a joy to look at every now and then. But as I mentioned I like the 16570 p...

It’s fascinating that a lot of people really enjoy their own watches for their own reasons. But yes collectors, well as much as growing up, we little by little want to do or be something different among our peers of among other people in general. As child...

You are welcome m171616! I completely agree with your comments. And of course it is the little details (it is said "Devil is in the details") that make a mass produced object like a watch a bit ...

LGF

I also sought out an LGF and whilst it probably doesn’t trade much of a premium it certainly looks a lot nicer IMO. On Hulks Rolex went from the stubby f back to a longer f so I think the market must agree.
