Welcome to the community. Your Rolex looks very good especially with the full set. In my opinion the LGF thing got rather overhyped but that doesn’t in anyway detract from the fact that your classic Sub looks great.

Thanks Cpt Scarlet.

That’s what I figured searching for more info re: LGF. But it’s a good talking point if ever. It’s a lovely watch and I like the fact that it’s considered to be a classic now. It’s a joy to look at every now and then. But as I mentioned I like the 16570 p...

Thanks Abel for the wonderful response.

It’s fascinating that a lot of people really enjoy their own watches for their own reasons. But yes collectors, well as much as growing up, we little by little want to do or be something different among our peers of among other people in general. As child...

You are welcome m171616! I completely agree with your comments. And of course it is the little details (it is said "Devil is in the details") that make a mass produced object like a watch a bit ...

... different to what other people own. Sometimes so little that just a few know what it is or what it means but for the owner means an additional charm or enjoyment the piece brings to him. I know the feeling! Thank you for your good wishes and same to y...

I also sought out an LGF and whilst it probably doesn’t trade much of a premium it certainly looks a lot nicer IMO. On Hulks Rolex went from the stubby f back to a longer f so I think the market must agree.
