Love the steel bezel!
Love the fact that the Rolex God blessed me in 2009 with a 116520! Switched out the bracelet for a black alligator/red lizard - love it! ...
One can’t go wrong with a Daytona, all have their charm.
The cracking bezel might be happening on the 116500 reference where the ceramic is exposed(never heard of that myself), but with the metallic ring on the 12xxxx I highly doubt that, because that is the exact point of the ring, to protect the bezel…
I am not sure about the relative
hardness of the steel and ceramic bezels, or how easy they break. But aesthetically I prefer the steel bezel to the ceramic one. My personal preference only.
