No. I have not tested it and it hasn’t happened to me either. However, I have read of several cases of ceramic bezels either cracking, chipping or breaking.

One can’t go wrong with a Daytona, all have their charm.
The cracking bezel might be happening on the 116500 reference where the ceramic is exposed(never heard of that myself), but with the metallic ring on the 12xxxx I highly doubt that, because that is the exact point of the ring, to protect the bezel…
I am not sure about the relative
hardness of the steel and ceramic bezels, or how easy they break. But aesthetically I prefer the steel bezel to the ceramic one. My personal preference only.
