I believe...
1959 is a correct period year for 4 line "OCC"...
I've seen it in other Submariner references :
- 6536/1 4 line, which I believe 1959 is the last batch for the reference 6536/1
- 5512 with eagle beak crown guard, which is strictly from 1959
- and I've seen some other 6538 with 4 line dial from this very year and late in 1958 as well..
I don't have photos of the 6536/1 and 5512 I mentioned above, but I do take a picture of this 6538 from the upcoming Phillips auction too, but in Hongkong for the Rolex Milestone themed auction, it is a different piece from what you posted..
From their website , it is 426417 serial with IV - 1958 case back.
If I find pictures of the 6536/1 and 5512 I mentioned, I will have them posted here..
But that one you posted is something to dream of
