Hello Baron! Great example of an straight seconds hand...

... 1655 Explorer you got there! I have on my wrist a very similar watch right now. I got my own 1655 past week, and it has been on my wrist since I got it. Couldn´t take off my wrist in the last 8 or 9 days since then! That speaks of my enthusiasm for this watch, as I usually rotate my timepiece in use every two or three days. This is a very strange or different model among Rolex references. I never paid much attention, nor ever considered the possibiltyof buying a copy myself. I must confess, I almost ignored it! Then I found the great presentation writen some time ago by Nicolas, which was resucitated some weeks back. The passionate and enthusiastic writing, and superb photographs changed my view... I desperately wanted one! I searched and found one in good overall condition and got a nice deal. I took it home. Well, this new found treasure changed completely my thoughts of many, many years, about this reference. It is a watch with a very particular and strong personality, and in spite of sharing a case design very similar to the GMT and Sub (protected crowns) its very distinctive dial and silver bezel makes for a complete different watch when you view on your wrist. I inmediately fell in love with it, and ask myself how could I pass this watch for so long. I tell you, I´m so happy with this watch! I smile every time I look at it, and believe me, I glance it very often during day! Now, regarding Rolex tool watches with straps, instead of their usual metalic bracelet, let me tell you that I like very much to wear them in leather straps from time to time, and find them very comfortable, and visually very attractive. It gives a low profile view on the wrist, and elegant as well. Rubber or nylon straps, I personally don´t like in my watches. By some strange reason, they look great on pictures or in other users, but not in my own wrist. It looks so well in yours, and if you find it comfortable, I feel you should keep as an alternative use to your Oyster. Straps have the great possibility of easy change, and you can go back to the original configuration in just minutes!
