1655 straight-hand on rubber
I have been playing around with my 1655. I love the watch....but have just never been a big fan of it on its original bracelet. It just seems like too much metal...a bit like the Milgauss on its bracelet. I have tried it on Nato and that doesn't really work either. I have a number of vintage leather straps now and none of those work especially well.
The 1655 has been reviewed so many times on this forum. It is a wonderful watch with some great features. It is a quintessential tool watch. It isn't especially aesthetically attractive...in fact, I think its quite unattractive, but its orange hand, the creaming of the tritium and the black base of the dial create a wonderful combination.
So, today I tried it on rubber for the first time. What do you think?

Strap suggestions

Hi. I still think well aged bracelet is best on this one. But I agree with Imran if you must wear a strap. Perhaps a brown unpadded calf strap (sort of Panerai or aviator style) or a black woven kevlar look one as found on IWC pilot or JLC Polaris maybe. ...

That's a combo I'd never seen before! but to me doesn't really work! Although I am generally not a big bracelets fan, I think on this one it remains the natural choice! then I've seen sme nive Nato combos as well! Nice and desirable watch though (it's on ...
