... and I agree with you, regarding the present trend of Rolex watches growing.
I guess Rolex is pressed to follow the demands of the Market, and present voge dictates bigger and bigger watches.
I personally prefer the classic sizes of past epochs: 36 mm for dress line, and 40 mm for Sport watches. But may be I´m old fashioned, traditional, a bit nostalgic, (and an old guy?).
The present rendition of the Sub (which, of course, I also own) keeps approximately the size of previous model, but, maxi case gives it the look of a nuch bigger watch. Reinforced crown guards, and thicker lugs in contrast with the same 20 mm bracelet helps to bring this impression. Technically, it is a superior watch. By design, it is an evolution of the original recipe.
It´s so nice to have the posibility of wearing a vintage on the wrist, keeping the traditional look of yesterday, and the incomparable work of Time transforming patina in beauty.
