An Unexpected Call...

Received a call out of the blue from an AD that I had no prior relationship with (but have been visiting on a regular basis) telling me one of my Rolex ‘grail’ watches was on its way to the store and got asked the magic question “Would I be Interested in it?”.

As we probably all would acknowledge, the allure of the chase/hunt is probably one of the biggest rushes that we can get when it comes to our fair hobby. Every time we get a call like this, it’s a feeling that we’ve won the lottery or the morning of Christmas morning as a child. Practically though, it’s also a ‘vindication’ of waiting and not having to buy through the ‘secondary’ market (note: I don’t have personal issues with that either, as they provide a ‘circuit breaker’ to the official distribution model - especially for those who are laser-focused or who simply can’t/couldn’t be bothered to build a relationship with an AD).

I digress... Fast forward 2hrs and am greeted with the first in-the-metal viewing. I’ve been fascinated by Everose, and its application in this model mainly because I was looking for something more complimentary rather than stand-out (for this piece). Was TOTALLY elated when it ticked all my ‘boxes’.
As I told my SA, I was smiling from ear-to-ear (although he couldn’t see because we’re both wearing face masks).

So without further ado - I present my 126715CHNR aka “Memento of Lock-down”.
