It is a good thing to remain curious and open in the watchmaking world
I experienced it myself. Sometimes it doesn't work of course, but many times I discovered something I was going to miss.
I read your answer to Magnus' De bethune article and I see you have this curiosity to give the chance to change your mind. It is a really good reflex that not everybody has.
Experiencing wearing a RM is really something nice and I strongly encourage you to go and visit the AD you have nearby.
I think, as for cars, we can have pleasure admiring brands and models we can't afford.
I think also that the fact the RM case evolves slightly is something good as it is not a run forward, outdating the previous model (like in the car industry). This is how a shape can become a classic.
