I’m really heartbroken…

Oct 15, 2021,21:58 PM

I started reading this thinking “great, a picture exposé of Tiger’s backyard ventures,” but the latter part of the story was an emotional anchor sad. And that last picture was unexpectedly hard to see.  A case of metastatic cancer is not what I’m used to hearing in cats.  I know dogs tend to develop tumors, but I didn’t think cats do as well.

The recent series of i’ll pets is really sad all around.

Tiger who through his willing (and reluctant) participation as my main photo subject, enabled me to learn much more about my cameras and the process of taking photographs. He first appeared on WPS about 12 years ago when he was a few years old. But I'd li...

Heartbreaking to read a wonderful cat is not anymore. From my side it was a no-brainer to write on my brand new Roamer which i got from an auction the words Rest in peace Tiger. Forever on my wrist to remember a great cat. For your wife and you to deal wi...

It was a small step to do. I thought, would i do this to my expensive watches? Write a tribute. I want to keep my watches original, and sometimes i play with straps. For Tiger there was no option to take no action, and tribute him on my new Roamer. I know...

My god, I'm heartbroken for you and your family. He seemed like a true companion. I'll hug my cat, Oscar a little bit longer when I see him. I'm happy you had him for that long though. It's bittersweet.

My Condolences To You

Your photos and story are so poignant. Our pets are family members and it’s devastating to lose them.

"Devoutly to be wish'd. To die, to sleep; To sleep, perchance to dream — For in that sleep of death what dreams may come, When we have shuffled off this mortal coil, Must give us pause, there's the respect, That makes calamity of so long life" ― The Trage...

And harder to post that picture … but he was still with us, the vet hadn’t come, and he was holding my arm between his paws; I felt he was saying goodbye as we both knew our time was almost over. I haven’t gotten over wondering where he is, and noticing h...

Hunting his mice, lizards and playing with all sorts of cat toys. I know this feeling, having had to bury 2 cats which I lived with. It was a painful feeling which lingered for a month or two, and I said a prayer for them, and moved on slowly with life. I...

In your loving arms is to be cherished forever. I believe all our pets which have passed on are on their happy hunting ground somewhere and patiently waiting to be reunited with us. Best wishes. Take care.

It looks like you gave him a pretty great life for all those years, and that he gave back to you as well.
