The positioning of the sweater and pose make it for me. I also like the bit of fireplace in the background...

The natural smile, the pose and just the appealing overall look.

+1

 By: Brandon Skinner : November 29th, 2020-18:27

Yes definitely it shows very loud that it is a very natural smile...

 By: Mike H : December 1st, 2020-14:08
...and it makes a big difference

I agree 100%

 By: NickO : November 29th, 2020-18:45

This is true also that in this #3 pic the general atmosphere of the picture is very peaceful and relaxing

 By: Mike H : December 1st, 2020-14:15
She seems so natural, as if she would be on her own without me shooting

Number two for the win

 By: GreatPilot@me.com : November 29th, 2020-18:36
Number two for the win! I only have one picture of my lovely wife, I want to share with you all from today, she can do it… Jim ...

Your Wife for the win ;-)

You are doing so well with these Mike. Stunning shots!

 By: fernando : November 29th, 2020-18:52
If I had to choose my favourite, it would be the first one - the eyes!

Thanks for your kind words, merci mon ami !

 By: Mike H : December 1st, 2020-14:22
I was surprised that nobody had chosen #1 yet... Definitely her eyes look stunning

Constance looks like she is enjoying herself in that photo along with the great sweater pose. Also like #1 with the naturally relaxed pose.

I was at work when I first looked at the photo and most of my co-workers choose #1.

 By: Mario : December 1st, 2020-20:36
It was because of the laid back look or her eyes they said.

Thanks for your vote ;-)

I normally am not a big fan of seeing too much flesh in such photos but on nr 1 her smile is most natural of all Nr 3 could have been nr 1 easily and by miles were it not for that one loose hair that’s right in front of her face which detracts all attenti...

Many thanks for your detailed comments

 By: Mike H : December 1st, 2020-14:40
Not only I don't take them bad but on the contrary I am always interested to know about feeling and reaction of the viewers, whether positive or negative. Sorry for the loose hair on #3, my bad Your vote for #1 duly noted with thanks

#3 for me....

 By: S F : November 29th, 2020-21:47
I think the strand of hair spotted by our eagle eyed Jurry can be edited away easily😁.

Guess you’re right

 By: Jurry : December 1st, 2020-01:52
And without that hair I place nr 3 at first place as well

Sorry my bad. I have repaired the omission...

The question: "Constance is eager to know your preferred portrait shot of her..."

 By: cshimokita : November 29th, 2020-23:50
As is, I think that Constance might prefer the second. I also like the colours and background... good choice of costume. I lean toward the first photo because of the eyes with the caveat regarding post processing - crow's feet. I can go both ways with pos...

The attractiveness of her face and hair combined with a slightly vulnerable as well as pensive expression, makes the third picture number 1 for me. The second picture shows some leg. Though these are portrait shots, to me it adds some flavour to the overa...

It has a quality the other ones do not have. It looks as though something was just said between the subject and the photographer causing the subject to smile in an unguarded moment.

2 .

 By: Watchonthewrists : November 30th, 2020-01:36
Just makes me smile looking at this pic . Happy feelings but also a bit sensual

no 2 by far is the best

 By: Gelato Monster : November 30th, 2020-03:32
no 1 2nd

#2, because it just looks better to my eye

By: Chronometer (aka yacomino) : November 30th, 2020-04:14

#2 is my favorite. One question though, is do you use a modeling light on your strobe.

 By: Blansky : November 30th, 2020-07:05
The reason I ask is because the pupils are very dilated and the eyes are generally 'prettier" when less pupils are showing and more iris. The dilated pupils indicate the room was dark and when using modeling lights on your strobes you can up the light to ...

You have an eagle eye! ;)

You are totally right in your comment, and indeed it is natural light. This explains that Many thanks for your very spot on comment

 By: mahesh : December 1st, 2020-03:41
i'm wondering if it is the photographer or the model which makes it better ;-) Best, mahesh.,

Thanks for voting my friend

 By: Mike H : December 5th, 2020-15:23
To answer your question, it is not the photographer OR the model. It is an achemy between both.

number 3 for me... she looks very relaxed

There’s a pleasant calmness about her.

Great shots

 By: Mostel : December 5th, 2020-15:45
A small hopefully constructive note: perhaps dial the foundation make up back a bit... to give a more natural appearance to the model's skin. Lovely shots indeed!

It looks like the writing on the wall is clear now, les jeux sont faits as we say in French

Score : #2 : 16 #3 : 9 #1 : 6 #2 is winning with a good lead as I would have expected For the 2nd place on the podium I would have thought #1 would make it but #3 made its way after the small editing (hair in the face) #1 is making an honourable score and...
