And they are priced with a $30K spread. You are also probably correct that more 5170P’s were produced but we don’t know that. So I look at it like Christian does in his post, If you love the watch and can buy one (especially from an AD) at the lower end of that price range (new) I believe you will get a great watch and be protected from any major depreciation. I was offered the watch several times at retail and would not buy it because the retail was the same as my 5740G on a white gold braclet. That’s not saying I didn’t really like it because I did, I’m a purists at heart but come from very humble beginnings so I’m wired to get value too. I believe me waiting until now has paid off in that regard, buying the watch at the low end of the spectrum, it being discontinued, it being different with the diamond hour makers gives the watch a reasonable chance of holding it’s value and if I’m lucky even going up some day. That would be a bonus, like money in the bank while I enjoy a wonderful watch, from my view a win win.
