the simple in-house chronograph movement will be done in a new case. The 5170 series was at best a big disappointment to PP and not on the merits I would add. The affection for the Lemania movement was way over blown. Perhaps the way the whole thing was done detracted from the public persona to some degree. The movement first came out in a ladies model, not a big seller I guess and then as a pulsometer. The movement, as cased,never ticked with folks I guess.

Two AD’s have told me Patek informed them they will not be shipping any more of 5170P out to them. No official announcement form PP I know of but probably will happen during SHII with other sources. I love the watch and it will go nicely with my 5740/1G ...
