Wow...really rare and...
...gorgeous. Have never seen this dial with red before. I've attached a photo of my 'If I win Powerball' watch. Some similarities. I go in for odd case shapes : )

the lighting setup there is challenging. To get a shot of the back I would have had to put it on a tray and there were lots of really bright spot lights that caused a ridiculous amount of glare and reflection. To get the wrist shot I had to turn away from...
Thanks for posting the amazing white gold 5016 black/red. It will be very interesting to see how well it does next month at Sotheby’s HK. Your post reminded me of another. Here is a similar one,
but I think even more appealing (and that is saying a lot). This one is platinum and has noticeably more red on the dial. It was sold at Christie’s Geneva in 2019. Best, Patekova ...
Seems to me between the Big 3 auctions in Geneva and HK there are a great number of fine to amazing watches coming up. And then
there’s NY. It will be interesting to see with all these watches, the pandemic and our generally upside down world if the ridiculously high prices at auction will hold.
Indeed, this of course has always been a big auction season, but no doubt there are a few extra elements this year that make it even more special! ;-)
Will certainly follow Phillips HK (perhaps live) because of the marvelous Rare Handcraft selection on display, but will definitely also stay informed on several others! Enjoy.
