why go vintage
if you can get beautifull new and unused true collectable watches (and you already have + you have got the means to do it) and create your own vintage collection as time passes!
And be carefull for all the 'wise' opinions of others (especially those jealous envious vinegar peeing forum members....). The only thing that is truly important is that you like the watches you buy.

yourself to modern. Am not saying you shouldn't buy vintage. Just saying that Vintage isn't heaven. Often the watches look terrible in my opinion. Messed up dials and hands which lovingly will be called patina. Patina often means rough state if you ask me...
