It's understand that one acquires and wears a Patek Philippe for his own enjoyment, and that a Patek isn't meant to be showed-off. It's further understood that wearing Patek provides internal satisfaction and contentment. What I'm asking - especially to well-travelled Patek owners - is what region of the world has your Patek been acknowledged the most?
Since your Patek is probably hidden under a dress shirt cuff it's probably a rare occurence that it is even seen. And if worn with a short sleeve shirt, since Patek owners are reserved and discrete, it's probably rarely noticed anyway.
But, out of curiosity, what region/country have you found that passersby, co-workers, friends, strangers, etc surprised you with a thoughtful comment "That's a beautiful Patek, how do you like your perpetual calendar?" Or something like that...
I'm thinking the answers will be "In Switzerland of course!" or "while taking a train anywhere in Europe" or "Just about any office building in a capital city in Asia."
