Very true... BUT....

Anita Porchet knows several different enameling techniques. And there have been some pieces that have exhibited as many as five of the different enamel techniques in one single piece. Let's hope that one of the proteges can also master a combination of these enameling techniques and integrate them into a single art piece.
It's a decade to decades long apprenticeship. Enamelers have worked weeks or months on a piece and at the last firing a bubble developed. They've quit out of despair and frustration.
Many of the proteges will not endure the 10 year minimum apprenticeship. What young person today has that kind of patience?
It's scarce. And with the demand and appetite increasing worldwide, I hope I find a piece I fall in love with soon... (but even if I did find a piece I fall for, I'm not certain can execute, as there are always other financial obligations, so that's not exactly a perfect solution either)
