They are both stunning Nautilus...I had a chance to try on the 5980AR last winter (the day I picked up the 5131, so I didn't buy it!), and was impressed, it looks just powerful on the wrist!

The time pusher is not a problem in general when wearing the watch. However, I did find myself pushing the button occasionally when either handling it off wrist or pushing the chrono.
5990 for me.

I've tried them last week, both being sporty. But I prefer an all steel version for a Nautilus, plus the 5990 had a stronger presence on my wrist. But it's up to you of course. Aris
