Hey guys. Back again trying to choose a watch. Presently own the 5711r the 5960 white dial steel and the 5960 white gold leather strap. Was now thinking between the 5990 or the 5980ar. Any advice and term collectibility wearability etc. thank u

They are both stunning Nautilus...I had a chance to try on the 5980AR last winter (the day I picked up the 5131, so I didn't buy it!), and was impressed, it looks just powerful on the wrist!

Congrats my friend, that's an extremely heavy hitter πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ» And looks stunning on you as well

Hard choice. I recommend you to try both on, they wear differently

5990 with the dual time complication is practical but the 5980 two-tone is simply stunning. To me, it depends on what you are looking for with the new baby, that's very personal.

I would go 5990... You don’t have a black tone dial nor a travel time....

5990

I only have the 5990 and it’s my de facto travel watch. It is very comfortable and well polished. With stainless steel all around, I don’t have to worry about it being scratched here and there. The travel time and chrono functions make it very useful on t...

I’d say go for the 5990

Both are great pieces, but the 5990 is unique in that it’s the only watch Patek manufactures with that movement - travel time, chrono, date. Most other Patek references use movements from one watch to another, but the 5990 movement solely for the 5990 Tha...

Not a problem in genera

The time pusher is not a problem in general when wearing the watch. However, I did find myself pushing the button occasionally when either handling it off wrist or pushing the chrono.

5990 for me.

I've tried them last week, both being sporty. But I prefer an all steel version for a Nautilus, plus the 5990 had a stronger presence on my wrist. But it's up to you of course. Aris
