Patek Philippe

The trouble with Patek at the moment is:

THIS kind of tone by Mr. Stern makes me feel bad about the brand. Patek is IMO not sending the right message to customers, especially to those who haven't had a Patek but do want one.

I went to a PP boutique the other day. The cases were full. Yet, the sales staff said that they would NOT take out any. I could NOT hold any or try any. I could NOT get on any wait list, which is because of too many ahead of me. And who knows when I could get one after so many years, even if I were on a wait list. Yada yada.

Anybody who has been to Tokyo where I live, knows that you could go down the street and, except for Nautilus and Aquanaut models, buy PP watches at grays, AND pay LESS than the boutique prices. No wait list and no boutique nonsense and poor attitude. Just saying this, if you really want a PP on your wrist today you could get one. That is if you are not determined to buy from a boutique.

Is PP not aware of the real world? The Sterns would not be pleased to see their PPs being sold in the cardboard boxes in Nakano, for less than retail.
Yet, they seem to be stuck in 2022 still, and don't seem to care about the real world of watch selling and prices, and don't care about consumers, and don't seem to think new or potential consumers  are important.  .
