I didn't see many ellipse vintage but I realise that are even smaller and that might make it a tad too small. Also I think many vintage ellipse came with the full gold bracelet while now patek does them only with strap - which was fine for me as I do like the strap feeling more than the solid gold bracelet.
If you have the chance to see the WG in person it will give you a better feeling of the dial which is gorgeously made in my opinion. I think that perhaps the blue is still more popular as it was sold out where I went while I could find the white gold one which was really what I wanted.
As you know the ellipse is a very simple and elegant watch. I like it more than the nautilus but probably it is also why I could only try and see the nautilus with complications. I also like the aquanaut a lot. It fits more with simple and light watches which I love. Had a chance to buy one 2 years ago in Bermuda but didn't buy it. Couldn't find another available since then but I am positive that I might find one before the summer !

I am not sure I will go with the calatrava ones perhaps they look as a bit too much for me. I had my shirts mostly done with regular buttons so perhaps I will just take the ellipse ones and see but never say never :) They should have more stock ..at least...

I would say that Golden Ellipse is like any
35-36 mm dress watch. It feels on the wrist like my 5120J. The watch does not feel too small because it's so slim and well balanced. Best, Kari

wondering about the Golden Ellipse PP or Geneva Seal
For the 5127 It was easier to spot that it has the new PP seal I am curious to know if the ellipse I bought has the PP or the geneva seal. Nothing mentioned on the certificate of origin so I guess the only way to know would be to open it ? :)

NOT to worry you as this little detail is just "academic" and I am more fond of the Geneva seal anyway, it is still possible that it has got the Geneva seal. BUT I did not see a Geneva seal for a long time on a new Patek movement. Best Moritz

On the gold bracelet but a customer requested it on the leather strap model so they can't be many around, you made a fine choice with your ellipse you have to buy a watch because you like it as its a personal item.
