I hope that it has the PP seal
I too think that it should have the PP seal. Unless it was really in stock since 2009 (I hope not!) it should come with the new seal. I saw some of the reasons on why some or many preferred the Geneva seal but frankly after having seen and tried a Roger Dubuis Monegasque Gold (and being for a while enthusiast about it) I must say that I was disappointed with the finish e.g. for a gold watch with a patek-like price not having even a gold rotor seemed to me a bit out of place.
I can see the point of patek wanting to be unique and take some distance from other Geneva Seal manufacturers. The AD gave me a book that explains the purpose of the seal and difference and seems fairly impressive !

I am not sure I will go with the calatrava ones perhaps they look as a bit too much for me. I had my shirts mostly done with regular buttons so perhaps I will just take the ellipse ones and see but never say never :) They should have more stock ..at least...

I would say that Golden Ellipse is like any
35-36 mm dress watch. It feels on the wrist like my 5120J. The watch does not feel too small because it's so slim and well balanced. Best, Kari

For the 5127 It was easier to spot that it has the new PP seal I am curious to know if the ellipse I bought has the PP or the geneva seal. Nothing mentioned on the certificate of origin so I guess the only way to know would be to open it ? :)

NOT to worry you as this little detail is just "academic" and I am more fond of the Geneva seal anyway, it is still possible that it has got the Geneva seal. BUT I did not see a Geneva seal for a long time on a new Patek movement. Best Moritz
