Thanks for your feedback, and no problem --- for as long as we don't entertain discussions of market prices or of course provide links to these secondary dealers, bringing up the reality of the situation is perfectly fine on my forum.

In fact, you'll find me in agreement that while (thanks to Patek's considerable efforts!) this phenomenon is relatively limited, sadly I think it will hardly ever be entirely eliminated. And it is indeed very sad, on many levels --- both for that fringe of fake collectors/speculators who keep taking advantage of the huge popularity of the Brand, for the real Patek collectors who get damaged as a result, and also, quite frankly, for the handful of (soon-to-be-former) ADs involved.
Receiving (or inheriting) a Patek Philippe license is perhaps THE best thing that can ever happen to a jeweler, during the entire life of his or her business. It's true, especially in a world such as this one where so much money is involved, that you'll always find losers with no gratitude and a high degree of stupidity....but the level reached by some of these ADs, who willingly toss a multi-million dollar license out of the window in exchange for a few bucks, is among the things beyond my comprehension!
Cheers.
