I agree that these watches are perfectly equal in terms of collectability, function, movement, etc.
I personally just find for some reason the more rounded case of 5127 a bit too small and too old fashioned but this is just my taste. I am not asking anyone to agree or disagree with this. All I am looking for is to have those who have tried 5296R or have one to chime in why they have purchased that watch and not 5127. And, I also would like to know, if those who have tried 5296 still like it or they also grew tiered of it. These are all very useful impressions from people who have tried both watches or even better who own 5296. Finally, YES, I would love to see at least ONE wrist photo of 5296R with plain or sector dial. There are no wrist photos on the web either, so strange!

Trade 5127R for 5296R?
Thinking of trading my 5127R for 5296R. Would you guys do the trade? Any 5296R owners here? Greatly appreciate encouraging photos of 5296R.
5296 is a very nice piece
Both are classic Patek Philippe, but I've see the 5296R at my local AD at it is every bit as terrific in the flesh as it is in the photos. Personally i've never been a fan of the crown guards on the 5127 but it's really just a matter of personal taste. So...

I agree. Have you tried the 5296R on your wrist? When the 5296G was introduced I was really interested to get one, until I tried it on my wrist. Still like it, but it´s just not for me. Oliver

For a 5296R? Fundamentally they are very similar apart from the movement. And as already mentioned they are both superb? Personally, I would stay with the 5127R, I think that it is gorgeous and with the shoulder guards adding additional protection has got...
