I'm over the moon to be showing you guys my latest acquisition, earning me a spot in the PCC Club ! The watch is a Second Series 3970 in Platinum, which from my research very very few were made (I believe roughly 10 pieces, possibly a pinch more). Cheers ...
The only reason I don't own this release is my almost 8" wrist. Design-wise, this is a pure Patek, the Patek to own and enjoy. Way to go! Good for you!

My personal approach to this: over many models (3970, 5004, 3940, 5050) of the 90s you typically have a ration of 5-10% showing up at auction. Thus, with 6 at auction this would roughly translate into 60-120 made in total (i.e. feuille hand 3970P).
Spetacular piece. I am lucky to own one too. Loooooong search and research. My sources let me to conclude 7 pieces in existance, but at the end, only PP knows. ...
A huge congratulations on getting this uber rare and beautiful variant. To me, even better than a 1st series, snap back, 2 tone dial yellow. Best, Patekova
