Patek Philippe

Some unexpected watches.

I was wrong on my "guess list" (Where did you put my RG 5711 pictures?)

I love Nautiluses so I might be biased, but I really like this 5990.

The dial remains clear and light in spite of the number of information needed. The hands are thin and the dial is not too much crowded.

The only thing that troubles me a bit is the modification of the hinge at 9 to integrate the 2 new pushers.

As for the 5960, well... I started the day saying it was strange and that I didn't like it, but finished the beginning of the evening saying that it might not be that bad after all and that (as you said) it could really "grow on me" as time goes by...

It needs some more thinking. The main reason why I didn't like it at first glance was the too strong contrasts on the dial: red tone on many spots, blackened elements over a white dial. There was also a lack of homogeneity that I start to accept right now.

The 5271 is interesting as it shows what a black dial 5270 could be (without the "belly"). A good starter for the 5270P version smile

To conclude, there are 2 novelties that really interest me and awaken my "thurst".

The others are evolutions that I'm not really looking for.

Thanks a lot for the quick pictures giving a better idea about how it looks.

Cheers, Mark
