Same thing just happened to me
The same thing just happened this morning. I purchased a new 5146G in early August (324 movement) and it has either been on a winder or on my wrist since then. I've never had to change or correct the date and never adjusted the time since my AD was kind enough to take care of everything at time of purchase.
Power reserve was full but neither second hand (resting at 15 second position) nor spring balance wheel was moving when I woke this morning. I recalled reading this thread and thought maybe the power reserve indicator wasn't working. Proceeded to gently wind the crown 20 times but nothing (in fact heard a small but distinct "click" with each wind which I've never heard before today). The interesting thing was when I pulled out the crown to adjust the time it started working again. I push the crown back into winding position and watched. The second hand does one full rotation and stops again at the 15 second position. I repeat this a few times. Same result.
I have a 5711 (white dial!) in daily rotation which I've had no issues with so I don't think it's due to rough wear or mistreatment by the wearer.
I will visit Henri Stern in NY this week but just thought I'd share the above given the original poster's question "has anyone else experienced this issue". I'm hoping it's a simple defect with the winding stem that's somehow halting the movement rather than something wrong with the guts of the movement...
