Patek 5575 - a dream
This is not my watch, but it has been on my wrist all day. It is a dream to wear. Obviously, it has been posted on a number of occasions and also some excellent reviews. Technically, I cannot add to those reviews. What I can add, however, is my personal experience of the watch and just what is so special with it.
For me, this watch is all about its aesthetics. The black dial contrast with the white gold case. The contrast of the moon on the inner disc with the almost "night sky" star-like nature of the outer disc.
This watch is an aesthetic bomb.
I am a fan of Patek, for sure. Yet, most of my collection comes from the vintage era. The two exceptions are the 5070 and 5110......which of course are no longer in production by some years. Yet, this 5575 would qualify for me as one of the most appealing watches to wear...one of the most appealing from the modern era.
I absolutely love it.....because on the wrist, it is just a bomb. It is impossible to avoid staring at it. Its dial is a total fascination.

The case's shape was the first thing that attracted my attention
especially the long grooves running from north to south, from a lug to the other. As always, the light reflection in the metal should be a very nice thing I couldn't experience yet. Thanks a lot for sharing your pleasure Joe Cheers, Mark
Both great watches.....
.....the 5575 gets the edge for me for a few reasons. Having the moon phase complication makes it just that bit special....aesthetics are strong on both. I wouldn't want to choose.... ...so didn't!

btw, if you had to guess .... any idea how many are still left ? Total production is 1300 Are they half way, or do you think most of the 1300 are already delivered ? How long would it take to deliver the last piece ? 1 year ? 2 years ? ...

to be blunt....
.....i applied for the plat chrono.....but didn't really have a hope. I was offered the 5575 and when i saw it in the flesh, was happier that it turned out that way around.

Thank you, I am certain I won't be! Part of my dilemma in deciding to go for it is that I already have the 5130J but I believe there is enough of a difference to keep me happy with both!
