other differences

between the 3940 and the 5140 is the bezel. The 3940 has a concave bezel and the 5140 has the convex bezel. The latter sticks out and is easily scratched. The bezel on the 3940 looks far better and is more functional. The date numbers on the 3940 are the same size and easy to read whereas the date numbers on the 5140 are larger around the 5-9 area which looks weird to some people and not as easy to read. The 5140 dial pops more than the 3940 which has more of a subdued look. 5140s are worth more than 3940s because there are fewer of them. Production was stopped at many points and dealers could not get them. One store waited two years for one. It was a 5140J. For some odd reason the 240Q has never been a sought after watch no matter how it is cased. Probably due to the lack of a seconds hand would be my guess.
