New PATEK.COM website format
Hi everyone,
Patek Philippe has just launched a new format for its website, here:
patek.com
It has been implemented to be more user-friendly with the modern devices like smartphones of course, as more than 50% of all users browse
patek.com with them, but also tablets etc... It also aimed at improving the overall design, legibility and navigation compared to the previous one.
It is composed of 3 main menus (“Collection”, “Company”, “Retail & Service”) which presents quite clearly where to go depending on your needs.
Also, about the search engine: "as a new and important factor, Patek Philippe has introduced search filters that address the needs of three specific target groups: the basic filter for everyone who wants to get acquainted with the brand, the advanced filter for knowledgeable users, and the free search based on keywords."
Please note that there is also now the Price information (Swiss Francs including VAT) applied in the Geneva Salon, and that's quite a change.
There seems to be much further details on craftmanship techniques and time pieces, you can get the last ten years' press releases or still purchase books etc...
After browsing the new site for a moment, I find it quick, much clearer and the specific topics like the calibers and details on other subjects than watches are much easier to find.
It would be interesting to have your feedback in the future but I think that, as the use of internet changes, the presentation of a traditional brand's website has to evolve as well.
Thank you for reading!
Best, Mark

Addendum: Moonphase setting module
As our friend Logotype posted, we were wondering if the Moonphase setting tool was still on the new PP website. In fact it is still there!
I received today a message from Patek Philippe, showing their appreciation of your support and interest for the brand.
You can find it by two different ways:
- The tool is available on the page (at the bottom) of the references that display a Moonphase indication (PC and AC references or simple moonphase models like the 5712 etc...)
- It is also available in the Retail & Service -> Instructions of Use, then enter your model's reference and you'll see the list of the versions with a clickable "Moonphase" mention (see my screenshot below).
Thanks Logotype for the question and to Patek for the quick feedback
