Patek Philippe

Hi everyone, Patek Philippe has just launched a new format for its website, here: It has been implemented to be more user-friendly with the modern devices like smartphones of course, as more than 50% of all users browse with them, but also tablets etc.....  

To my eye anyway, it is much more user-friendly and informative. No doubt I'll find myself being distracted here more than once Thanks for bringing this to our attention Mark! All the best, Niall

I suspect the caveat about ADs determining their own prices is designed to prevent claims of "price fixing" or something else that rule-makers don't want manufacturers to do. Park

Patek used to have an interactive Moonphase Indicator on their site. I used this as a reference when setting a perpetual calendar. This link no longer works/page doesn’t exist. I haven’t been able to find it after the launch of the new site. Wish this pag... 

I tried to find it after I saw your answer and indeed it seems it is not there anymore. I think that we can have this information easily on the net but I used to go on this page to set my 5712 too. Thanks for mentionning, we'll see if they wish to add it ...

This was long due. Great they recognize the amount of traffic coming through mobile devices and make the navigation more user friendly. Now as far as retail prices go I am sure it will create some friction as the local price is a function of import duties... 

About retail prices, I think that it is indeed made to give a base for customers, even if we have to make a little calculation locally. Thanks for the comments keks Best, Mark

That is, to me at least, a big, big step forward and saves a lot time looking on the net what height a watch in interest has got, what the dial is made of. These information is important to me. Thank you for the news ... but it is actually not news as we ...  

The height is a very important info for me too and I also had to struggle to find them around the net. Thanks for mentionning this detail. Concerning the dial, it seems to me that these infos (decoration) were already available, weren't they? I didn't not... 

I have counted three solid gold dials ...

Then again, I shouldn't blame the website, I should blame the internet speed! I like it's much more media rich. I wished there were more individualized stories and descriptions for each piece. I also wished it were more educational.

but yes, keep us updated if you face these slower periods again. I must say that your last comment (detailed descriptions) is something I share as well. I imagine it is also a question of taking into account clients who are not as interested in watchmakin...
