I guess Miles this is indeed natural, imperfection can been seen as charming or unique or like a flaw depending on the subject. I see in your path quite similar elements with what many I think have known (especially as you are now proud owner of this 5970G and 5070).
I remember that many of these criteria I look at when selecting a watch have changed since the last few years. I guess we see things differently as we go forward in our watch journey.
I didn't like the 5110 or 5070 at the beginning and they are now high on my list. It was the same for the Nautilus.
I guess there are also elements we don't pay attention to (like small details and cases' design) but we learn to discover with experience.
And there is certainly more to discover in other references and novelties as well. Time will tell.

I agree....I am bemused when I hear comments in how lazy PP is for not making movements for specific case sizes and how wonderful Lange is!! The 5524 Bey g one criticized for too small case....
