I tried them all on..

and felt they were not comfortable on the wrist as I had expected and not very elegant looking. Very wide and bulky for me and I can usually wear some larger watches without issue. I did like the usual Patek finishing and perhaps would have warmed to it more if there was a 38mm size version. I was disappointed by the small round movement size and the movement not filling the case. As mentioned the time date version date window looks too small. I’m not sure I could live with all that after paying a hefty sum. All in all if it was between this piece and an aquanaut or a nautilus of course I’d pick the former two. I would also pick a calatrava such as a 5212 (from current production options) or another piece that wears better over it as would be much more comfortable as a daily. Not a bad piece just not for me as I wouldn’t end up wearing it. If I was looking for a similar piece it would be a nice art deco gondolo such as a 5124. I can see it selling well with those that like modern large timepieces however. Gave all my feedback to the AD who was probably glad to see the back of me!

In addition to how they wear on the wrist in terms of size, what are your thoughts on how they look 👀 in the metal and what is your overall assessment ?

The blue dial large date looks smaller than the olive green SS time only as the bracelet on the latter is wide at the case and adds to the visual. Not tempted by either. I thought that the green dial would have more “pop” but didn’t under the boutique lig...

I actually like the 5712 looking model.

What was your overall assessment? I’ve heard ppl say that it’s too big. I hope it doesn’t bring back the huge watch trend.

I did prefer the large date model and really liked the strap - preferred it to the supersized Nautilus bracelet. The east-west real estate on the watch is really large and noticeable in the way which the ears on the Nautilus are not.

I think they look pretty good……..

Any comments from your AD on allocations? Is this new line going to be a pay to play like what happened with Nautilus and Aquanaut lines ie buy other complicated pieces first?
