Hi, keks, I wouldnt wear a watch with the wrong time (well, I would and have but rarely) why would I wear a calendar watch with wrong day date month? Hmmm...thanks.

... like wearing dirty underwear... but I suffer from ocd

I try very hard not to wear dirty underwear...🤣😂 And yes, I am OCD in other areas...which makes me wonder why wrong month date dont bother me more...

Speaking of underwear, being caught with your perpetual, annual or even simple date incorrect is like being caught with your pants down. Actually, I think the level of embarrassment should increase in line with complication; date - pants down, annual cale...

Even the year indicator, otherwise why a perpetual?

If I don't have time to set everything, I just continue using the same watch I was wearing.

Perpetuals can be very wearing on the soul and fingers.

Or wives / children to wear them all and keep them running... 😉😂

If you only have one perpetual this is not an overwhelming job. It just becomes soul-sapping about 6 months into possession when you remembered you've worn your Dufour, or Smith, or Journe for two weeks now and the perpetual needs a whole lotta adjusting.... 

One reason I loathe non-quickset dates (especially in modern movements...do you hear me Omega?!!?).

Otherwise one feels like a slob; like not having your shirt & tie properly done or having a shoelace loose.

My calendar is a JLC with the IWC coordinated system. All I need (on the JLC adaptation) is a toothpick and a few flicks of the wrist. I imagine that this would be more burdensome if I actually had to adjust the indications separately and look up a moon a... 

But that would involve changing wristwear 23 times a day... 😭😂

Me too! I do that most of the time, hence I need to wear my date watches over an extended period!

For my psm, which I rarely wear, I really do not set the date most of the time! Plus the date is not v obvious to me. Haha

I could not wear a perpetual without correct settings!

But sometimes I make a mistake on date or leap year and i usually keep it like this as the day is running away...

usually set the moonphase so I can see the moon. I rarely set the moon to a new moon. I figure I'd rather see the moon on the dial than be absolutely correct in its setting.

But find it interesting that you make the exception for the moonphase (I follow your reasoning...)

This is my Underwood safe shipped to me from Italy. The watches in the picture are not current as I have done a lot of changing but it certainly takes care of my perpetual and annual calendars! ...  

its one of my favorite thing to do when I wear a perpetual. Wind about 30x then set the time/date. it usually takes less than 5 min and have a tooth pick as push pins :0

sometimes they splinter and the slivers can get stuck. enjoy your time!
